Their Song

In 1964 Jerry Wallace released "In the Misty Moonlight" which eventually landed at #19 on Billboard's Top 40 Hits. When Muli and Mayone heard this song and it's lyrics, they decided this would be "Their Song".

Mayone mailed a 45 single (like the one shown below) to Muli in Hawaii after she returned home to Utah. Muli recalls that he loaned it to a friend in his dorm and then never saw it again!

Mayone says the lyrics still describe their love for being near the seaside, the contentment they've felt with each other in all kinds of places and situations, and how they've tried to live their married life: being happy as long as they are together.

And after all these years, they say it's STILL "their song"...

In The Misty Moonlight

In the misty moonlight
By the flickering firelight
Any place is all right
Long as I'm with you (as long as I'm with you-ooh)

In a far-away land
On the tropic sea sand
If your hand's in my hand
I won't be blue

Way up on the mountain
Or way down in the va-a-alley
I know I'll be happy
Anyplace, anywhere, I don't care

CHORUS
In the misty moonlight
By the flickering firelight
Any place is all right
Long as you are there

SPOKEN: I could be happy in one little room with only a table and chair. As
happy as I'd be in a kingdom by the sea, darling, if you were there. And I could be
rich or I could be poor.. but if you were by my side, I could be any place in this whole
wide world…and I know I'd be satisfied.

Way up on the mountain
Or way down in the va-a-alley
I know I'll be happy
Anyplace, anywhere, I don't care

In the misty moonlight
By the flickering firelight
Any place is all right
Long as you are there.
