Together

During the Spring Term Mayone went into "town" to the Ala Moana Shopping Center and purchased several yards of a red fabric with a tapa design.
She then came back to her dorm and sewed a mu'umu'u for herself and an aloha shirt for Muli to wear to a spring picnic that would be held at Kakela Beach Park.
In Hawaii, matching "Aloha" outfits make a little bit of a statement.
In essence, it says... "We Are Together"

Mayone, Muli and CCH Friends at the Spring Picnic 1964

Muli and Mayone again wear their 'Red Aloha's' when Mayone goes to the airport to return to Utah after the school year ends.

Dan brings a red double-strand carnation lei to say goodbye.

And oh....we just LOVE this picture.

Mayone is about to board her airplane after 10 months in Paradise
and, in her words... (see caption from her scrapbook)

What did Mayone bring home from Hawaii?
Two mu'umu'us (the red one and the turquoise blue one pictured below), an armful of leis from her new friends, many good memories, and...some big decisions to make.  The story isn't over yet!...

Mayone has much to show and tell when she arrives home.
